Osborn Campaign Weekly Wrap-Up October 17

Dear Supporters,

We are busier than ever as we get closer to the election. The polling is as tight as it can be, but even if we were up 10 points we would still be traveling the state talking to Nebraskans. This weekend, we are on one of our last road trips, doing 19 events in 19 counties over 4 days. It will leave us with just 15 counties left to complete our 93-county tour. We’ve gotten to meet veterans, school teachers, ranchers, nurses, and many of the other people that make our communities great places to live. We don’t want this election to be about attack ads. We want it to be about talking to real, everyday Nebraskans.

15 people in a town of 150 isn’t too bad! I had a great time in Taylor, NE.

We were also proud to accept the endorsement of the Omaha Firefighters Union and Alliance of Retired Americans, as well as hear from Nebraska State Education Association, who endorsed us earlier in the cycle. These are the groups that dedicate their lives to uplifting others, and we are honored to have their endorsement.

Thank you to Al Mumm from the ARA, Tim Royers from the NSEA, and Trevor Towey, as well as the firefighters who came out, from the Omaha Firefighters Union.

The final quarter of FEC reporting has been released. Our opponent dumped *another* million dollars into his own race… our $5.25 donation didn’t really make a dent. But, we don’t need to flood commercial breaks with attack ads to win this election. We would rather travel our great state and talk to people than take money from AIPAC, defense contractors, and tech companies, like our opponent. We are committed to doing this the right way.

Election day is just around the corner. We are under 20 days until election day, which means early voting has already begun. If you have any questions about voting, please get in contact with the secretary of state’s office. If you need help with a plan to vote, give us a call or stop by one of our field offices and we can help you out.

We have to keep pushing forward, all the way through the finish line. Every door knocked, every call made when phone banking, and every conversation with a neighbor counts. Together we can show what a real grassroots movement can do, and show Pete Ricketts Nebraska is Not For Sale.

In the News

Check out this letter to the editor in the GI Independent written by one of our supporters. Very well said Chris!

Dan’s profile was featured in last weekend’s edition of KETV’s Chronicle.

Haven’t had the chance to make it to a town hall? The Sandhills Express did some great reporting on our trip to Broken Bow.

The New Republic spotlighted Dan’s fight against Big Ag.

Money is pouring into Ricketts campaign from large corporations and special interests. Check out the Wall Street Journal’s reporting.

On Social Media

To celebrate our 93-county tour, Dan went into the studio with some Nebraska musicians and songwriters, and created his own song. Our version of “I’ve Been Everywhere” features towns and cities across Nebraska and *no* AI.

Stocking the Capital has been keeping a close eye on our race.

We found another weirdly honest ad from Team Ricketts, this time featuring the data centers he wants to drop all over Nebraska.

Websters updated their definition of “Nepo Baby.” It now features our opponent, whose dad just dumped $650 thousand into his son’s race. Most people work to buy their kids bikes and basketball hoops. Joe likes to buy his sweet baby boy Pete elections.

Fundraising

October is when most people are paying attention, so we need to keep our foot on the gas. When it comes to our 93-county tour, that’s pretty literal. We need to keep gas in the car so we can hit every corner of Nebraska and keep campaigning the right way. Ricketts is able to call on the Republican political machine and large corporations for millions more dollars on demand. We have to rely on you.If you are willing and able to donate to help us get this race over the finish line, please do so HERE.

Thank you.

Volunteer Asks

In 2024, Dan came unbelievably close to winning this seat. This year, Nebraska has once again attracted national attention as one of 2026’s most hotly contested races.

That’s why we need YOUR help to make sure that every voter in Nebraska has the chance to hear Dan’s message. We might not have the billionaire special interests on our side, but we have something more powerful: the hardworking people of the Cornhusker State.

The most important action you can take is to reach out to your fellow Nebraskans by knocking doors. Even if you only have a few hours a week, every door counts. Click HERE to sign up for your first shift! This weekend, canvasses will be launched in:

  • Kearney

  • Lincoln

  • West Omaha

  • Omaha Campaign HQ

  • Richardson

  • Beatrice

  • Columbus

  • Fremont

  • Lyons

If you can’t canvass for us (again, the MOST important thing you can do to support the campaign), or if you want to double up on volunteer opportunities, Team Dan also offers phonebanks every evening – except for Friday or Monday – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (except for Cornhusker game days – then it will be from 2-4!). Put on your comfiest clothes, pour a cup of tea, and come hang out with us. Sign up https://www.mobilize.us/osbornforsenate/?event_type=2.

Finally, if none of these options appeal to you, feel free to come attend one of our Volunteer Gatherings, where you can socialize with your friends, make yard signs, organize your neighbors, phonebank in person, and more!

Finally, be sure to take a look at our upcoming events calendar. We are proud to represent working Nebraskans, and always excited to meet the people who make this state great.
