Osborn Campaign Weekly Wrap-Up September 26
Dear Supporters,
This week, we took a trip to our nation’s capital to join with other independent candidates at the Independent National Convention. It was great to meet up with candidates like Bill Hill from Alaska, Brian Bengs from South Dakota, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team from Indiana… OK, maybe not that last one. But Hill, Bengs, and I got together and thought it was pretty insulting for the Senate to leave town without addressing one of the most prominent issues in American politics today - AI and the Data Centers that support it. So, we held a press conference right outside the capitol building, where our elected representatives should have been working to uplift everyday Americans. You can catch that press conference here.

Earlier this week, I got to head to UNO and spend some time with the Delta Chi fraternity. Thank you to Delta Chi for giving me a chance to come speak. The room was full of engaged students who I have no doubt will go on to bright futures.

Friday night, we had a town hall at Big Mama’s Kitchen in North Omaha. We want to offer a big thank you to everyone who came out to show their support. We had nearly 100 people come out!

End of Quarter Fundraising
Next Wednesday, September 30th is the end of the financial quarter for the campaign. This means that all the money raised by each candidate will be reported out. You may recall the end of last quarter, when we held a press conference drawing attention to the amount of money Pete Ricketts’ family gave him.
Anything donated by 10:59 PM CT on September 30th will be more impactful than anything in October. Whatever we raise by then will be reported out, and the larger the number the media sees, the more seriously they will take this race. If we can show we know what we’re doing in terms of raising money, it also makes donors who wait until October to donate more likely to send money our way. In some ways, $5 on September 30th will go further than $10 in October.
We know it’s tough out there, but we still have a 93-county tour to finish. Donating now will not only help us put gas in our car to come to your community, but will also grow confidence in this campaign around the country. A donation this week will show that not only you have confidence in this movement, but others should as well.
If you are willing and able to donate, please do so HERE.
Thank you.
In the News
Juan Salinas at the Nebraska Examiner wrote about the way both campaigns have approached the issue of immigration. If you want to read about his stance on the issue from things Dan has actually said and not what his opponent wants you to think he’s said, check out Juan’s story.
Roll Call showed up to our DC press conference. Check out this article on who Dan intends to caucus with (hint: not the Democrats).
Ricketts is still committed to the Iran war in this clip.
Dan swung by NBC with Brian Bengs to talk a little more about what it’s like to run as an independent.
On Social Media
This video took over the internet on Thursday. The one Ricketts ad we can agree with.

You can also see on X how billionaires like the Ricketts family try to buy elections.
See how Dan shows up for Nebraskans on Facebook, and who’s buying Pete Ricketts this cycle.
On Instagram, we have even more Pocket Pete.
Volunteer Asks
In 2024, Dan came unbelievably close to winning this seat. This year, Nebraska has once again attracted national attention as one of 2026’s most hotly contested races.
That’s why we need YOUR help to make sure that every voter in Nebraska has the chance to hear Dan’s message. We might not have the billionaire special interests on our side, but we have something more powerful: the hardworking people of the Cornhusker State.
The most important action you can take is to reach out to your fellow Nebraskans by knocking doors. Even if you only have a few hours a week, every door counts. Click HERE to sign up for your first shift! This weekend, canvasses will be launched in:
Kearney
Lincoln
West Omaha
Omaha Campaign HQ
Richardson
Beatrice
Columbus
Fremont
Lyons
If you can’t canvass for us (again, the MOST important thing you can do to support the campaign), or if you want to double up on volunteer opportunities, Team Dan also offers phonebanks every evening – except for Friday or Monday – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (except for Cornhusker game days – then it will be from 2-4!). Put on your comfiest clothes, pour a cup of tea, and come hang out with us. Sign up https://www.mobilize.us/osbornforsenate/?event_type=2.
Finally, if none of these options appeal to you, feel free to come attend one of our Volunteer Gatherings, where you can socialize with your friends, make yard signs, organize your neighbors, phonebank in person, and more!
Finally, be sure to take a look at our upcoming events calendar. We are proud to represent working Nebraskans, and always excited to meet the people who make this state great.
