Osborn Campaign Weekly Wrap-up September 12

Dear Supporters,

We are LIVE!!! I know you’re tired of all of my opponents ads - we sure are. This week, we hit the airwaves with a few ads of our own.

Jacket - This 60-second ad takes place in Ricketts’ preferred place to do politics - a classic smoke-filled room with all of his favorite donors sitting around the table, finding new ways to sell out Nebraskans for personal profit. Our campaign? We’d rather be out on the road with real Nebraskans, meeting them in their communities.

Under the Hood - To fix a broken Washington, we need to send in a mechanic. You may have one of our campaign shirts, now check out this 15-second ad. I take a look under the hood of a broken Washington, and pull out all the bad policy that has allowed corruption to fester for decades. Wasteful spending, congressional stock trading, and a revolving door of lobbyists - this is just a short list of the problems I’ll need to get wrenching on when I get to the capitol.

We had a great time walking in the Schuyler parade. It’s always great to get out into the great communities we have here in Nebraska. This time, we had a classic fire truck as part of our crew. It never ceases to amaze me how great our supporters are.

A great team picture after another successful parade

We are also pleased to announce our endorsement by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, NCPSSM. We were joined by President Max Richtman in Omaha, who presented me with some boxing gloves. We took them for a spin in our workout room, and I think they’ll be the perfect tool for me to knock out Social Security insolvency when I get to Washington. Believing that there is dignity in all work also means ensuring retirement is eventually an option. That means removing the cap on Social Security tax, so the wealthy pay their fair share to ensure that our safety nets are funded for generations.

A big thank you to Max Richtman of the NCPSSM, as well as Al Mumm of the American Retirement Association and Jim Kavanaugh who came out as well

In the News

Chase Porter of Courier Nebraska profiles the real Dan Osborn’s record, not the one Pete Ricketts seems to think he’s running against.

CNN’s Jeff Zeleny came out to Nebraska to see what Dan is all about.

Social Media Highlights

On X, Dan addresses the rural healthcare challenges many Nebraskan’s fast, and brings awareness to what’s happening in Chadron.

On Instagram, we made it to memorial stadium to hang out with some tailgaters before the kick off to the season. Dan didn’t nail his prediction exactly, but the Huskers still got a big win. Go Big Red!

Volunteer Asks

In 2024, Dan came unbelievably close to winning this seat. This year, Nebraska has once again attracted national attention as one of 2026’s most hotly contested races.

That’s why we need YOUR help to make sure that every voter in Nebraska has the chance to hear Dan’s message. We might not have the billionaire special interests on our side, but we have something more powerful: the hardworking people of the Cornhusker State.

The most important action you can take is to reach out to your fellow Nebraskans by knocking doors. Even if you only have a few hours a week, every door counts. Click HERE to sign up for your first shift! This weekend, canvasses will be launched in:

  • Kearney

  • Lincoln

  • West Omaha

  • Omaha Campaign HQ

  • Richardson

  • Beatrice

  • Columbus

  • Fremont

  • Lyons

If you can’t canvass for us (again, the MOST important thing you can do to support the campaign), or if you want to double up on volunteer opportunities, Team Dan also offers phonebanks every evening – except for Friday or Monday – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (except for Cornhusker game days – then it will be from 2-4!). Put on your comfiest clothes, pour a cup of tea, and come hang out with us. Sign up https://www.mobilize.us/osbornforsenate/?event_type=2.

Finally, if none of these options appeal to you, feel free to come attend one of our Volunteer Gatherings, where you can socialize with your friends, make yard signs, organize your neighbors, phonebank in person, and more!

Finally, be sure to take a look at our upcoming events calendar. We are proud to represent working Nebraskans, and always excited to meet the people who make this state great.
