Dear Supporters,
We have a lot of momentum now thanks to having the best supporters in the country. Our team is working hard to make sure everyday Nebraskans have a seat at the table.
This week, I am working hard with my team to prepare for the debate. I am itching at the opportunity to give the voters a chance to see my vision of the country directly compared to my opponent’s. If you want to come support a mechanic taking on millions in dark money and an opponent whose only interest is serving corporations, keep an eye out for our debate watch parties which will be announced soon.
We will be hitting the road again soon, so if we haven’t made it to your hometown or somewhere close by as part of the 93-county tour, stay tuned.

On our last leg, we had stopped The Stables in McCool Junction and got to speak with Wendy and Bradley about their experience owning a small business in Nebraska. They source all of their beef locally and you can tell, dinner was terrific! They even have their own brand for their burger buns.

Looking Forward
Come march with us tomorrow, Aug 15th, in the Kool-Aid days parade! The parade starts at 10:00 AM, but if you want to march with Dan we ask you to arrive at 9:30.
We will also be holding a town hall at the Blair Community Center at 6:00 PM on Tuesday.
In The News
Michelle Cottle wrote about Dan in the New York Times.
Josh Reyes at the Omaha World Herald covered Dan’s response to the failed farm bill.
Todd Long, a supporter in Grand Island, believes Dan is the right man to end the forever wars. Read his letter to the editor in the Grand Island Independent.
And check out our post earlier this week right here on Substack regarding money in politics.

How You Can Help
In 2024, Dan came unbelievably close to winning this seat. This year, Nebraska has once again attracted national attention as one of 2026’s most hotly contested races.
That’s why we need YOUR help to make sure that every voter in Nebraska has the chance to hear Dan’s message. We might not have the billionaire special interests on our side, but we have something more powerful: the hardworking people of the cornhusker state.
The most important action you can take is to reach out to your fellow Nebraskans by knocking doors. Even if you only have a few hours a week, every door counts. Click HERE to sign up for your first shift!
If you can’t canvas for us (again, the MOST important thing you can do to support the campaign), or if you want to double up on volunteer opportunities, Team Dan also offers phonebanks every evening – except for Friday – from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Put on your comfiest clothes, pour a cup of tea, and come hang out with us. Sign up HERE.
Finally, be sure to take a look at our upcoming events calendar. We are proud to represent working Nebraskans, and always excited to meet the people who make this state great.
And finally, a word from Pocket Pete…

…with last month’s allowance.
